Tessa Ziegler is a distinguished South African performing artist whose mastery of the classical guitar has earned her a permanent place in the country’s musical canon. Born into a creative environment, she began her musical training on the piano before discovering her lifelong passion for the guitar at age nine. She made history in the South African education system as the first student to play classical guitar for her music matric, later refining her skills at Wits University and through specialized study with the legendary Spanish guitarist Narciso Yepes.

She is perhaps best known for joining the National Symphony Orchestra to accompany the great Luciano Pavarotti during his historic South African visit.
